Day #1

So today went surprisingly well. I was able to go to the gym this morning for a couple of classes and then again this afternoon to run a few miles with Josh. We even did a few rounds of push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups with Walker after dinner. I know there are some cleanses that actually leave you too weak to be able to work out. Not this one! As of 10:45 pm, I am feeling GREAT! Yes it is more difficult to prepare all of the fresh fruit and veggies. Sure, it would be easier to just pull in to a fast food place. But it sure is nice to lay down and feel 100% happy with what I've put into my body today.
The Menu:
Breakfast- meal replacement protein shake (very filling!)
Lunch- mixed greens, grilled chicken, homemade pico de gallo for dressing
Dinner- Blackened chicken(grilled),squash, zucchini, boiled cabbage & brown rice (YUM!)
Snacks- hard boiled eggs in the a.m. and strawberries and blueberries after dinner

This doesn't even include the water I've been drinking. Just under 150 ounces. That's a lot of water!

*Measruements* Josh and I both measured today and I will post the numbers tomorrow. Livi is asleep on my shoulder and the notebook is in the other room, so it will have to wait.

  1. So excited for ya'll! This is awesome. Thanks for posting all of this great info. We may want to do this when we're done with our 40 day thing.
